Eye Makeup Remover

As you know, I am always looking to reduce the toxins in my body.  I have recently found a very easy way to do this.  By swapping out my eye makeup remover I have eliminated multiple potentially harmful toxins.

Remember, your skin is your biggest organ.  Whatever you put on your skin will be absorbed into your body!

When you have a minute, check out the label of your eye makeup remover.  When doing research for this blog I picked up a popular store bought brand and snapped this picture…

I am not sure about you, but if I can help it I would like to avoid ingredients that I cannot pronounce.  I feel like they are either bad for me or bad for our environment.

It is not always easy to avoid these types of chemicals.  However, here is a great substitute!

Fractionated Coconut Oil

This feather-light oil is excellent for removing makeup!  It does not clog pores and is great for dry or troubled skin.  It leaves skin feeling silky smooth and non-greasy.  It is colorless, odorless and will not stain or leave an oily residue on your pillowcase.  (Fractionated coconut oil is liquid at room temperature so it is a bit easier to use than your standard coconut oil.)

So, if you are looking to reduce the chemicals that you put on your skin (or wash down the drain) consider this simple swap!  I think you will be glad you did!
